What is missing?

Hi, kids. This e-tivity is about using our knowledge and our ability to find information to solve a math problem.
By the end, you'll be able to
  • develop a strategy to solve a problem when a data is missing and support the choices you make
Average online time: 20 min
Average offline time time: 10 min

TASK
Taking into account the information below

1) choose one of the flights,
2) find out what time it will arrive at its final destination &
3) explain the procedure you used to find the solution

    and 14.5 x 8=12:00 and finally in cali at 12:00

    Miss I don't understand, but my mother help me.
    1) VUELO 214
    2) The distance of the flight Medellin to Bogota, is 247,44 KM
    3) 247,44 km / 14,5 Km = 17,06
    09:35 AM + 17,06 Min = 09:52 AM
    The flight arrives at 09:52 AM

    PROCEDURE WITHOUT DATA:
    alethia I doesnt know the km from one city to other so I will said that X are the numbers of kms form a place to other, Y are the minutes, Z is the result.
    answer:
    if the figth of bogota is 012
    so
    Xkm / 14.5km/h = Ymins
    8:00am +Ymins = Z
    so Z will be the time that the fligth takes to arrives.

    miss the page that said that it might help yo sai that form bogota to cali ther is a distance pf 299.84KM

    299.84KM/14.5km/h= 20.67 mins
    8:00am+20.67mis = 8:20 am

    1. 315 flight
    2. 1039.89 km X 1 min / 14.5 km=71.7 min
    71.7 min / 60= 1 hour 19 minutes.
    the plane departs at 12:30 + 1:19=1:49 pm hour that lands on pasto.
    3. so first you enter to the page to find out wath is the distance between cartagena and pasto that is 1039.89 km, now you think if the airplane flies 14.5 km/min how in much time does it will fly 1039.89 km, so I multiply 1039.89 by 1 min and divide it by 14.5 km, the answer is more than 60 min so I divide by 60 for getting it into hours.
